Grandover Resort (www.grandover.com)

Grandover Resort (above) is the new home course for UNCG men's golf and the new home to the UNCG Bridgestone Golf Collegiate. The host of the 2011 NCAA Division III men's championship, Grandover also hosted an NCAA Division I men's regional in May, 2012.

The public areas of the Grandover depict a grand, European style castle. The elegant lobby evokes an old world feel, with a contrasting floor pattern of Italian travertine, Tazmanian gold limestone and black granite, combined with large columns of Spanish marble. Chandeliers, lamp posts and gilded iron work further enhance the décor. Signed, original oil paintings show a variety of historic life in and about the grand old hotels of Europe.

Bryan Park Golf Club

The Champions Course at Bryan Park opened in 1990 and has proven to be a Rees Jones masterpiece of design. It is the home of the Bryan National Collegiate, a women's event co-hosted by UNCG and Wake Forest each spring.

Seven holes border scenic Lake Townsend. Ranked in 1990 as the runner-up best new public course in the country by Golf Digest, the course has since been ranked nationally each year by major golf publications.

The par-72 course, which can play as long as 7,135 yards, hosted the USGA's Amateur Public Links Championship in the summer of 2010. Among the features and accolades:

 


Ernie Edwards Learning Facility at Bryan Park GC

The ultimate game improvement facility can only be found in one place ... Bryan Park's Ernie Edwards Learning Center.

The brand new Ernie Edwards Learning Center features two climate-controlled hitting bays and two outdoor hitting bays. The facility features the latest in learning technology and is considered one of the top teaching centers on the East Coast. 

Bryan Park also has a 27-acre Practice and Learning Facility with more than 12 acres of grass teeing area and 10 target greens. Practice bunkers and chipping areas are also available.  This facility is overwhelmingly admired as one of the finest in the area and is open on a year-round basis.

Bur-Mil Park Practice Studio

The new addition to UNCG's off-campus practice venues is the Bur-Mil Park Practice Studio. Located at the City of Greensboro's Bur-Mil Park northwest of the downtown area, the facility includes three indoor hitting bays, an indoor putting green, areas for multiple camera video analysis and outdoor facilities that include a lighted driving range, grass and mat outdoor hitting areas and putting and chipping practice greens.


Greensboro Country Club (www.greensborocc.org)

The Greensboro Country Club features two 18-hole golf courses, indoor and outdoor tennis courts, a state of the art fitness facility, two swimming pools and several dining locations. 

Blessed with a Donald Ross designed Irving Park course started in 1911 and a Donald Steel redesign for the Farm Course, Greensboro CC offers a unique golfing experience for the accomplished golfer and the novice. With Irving Park presenting a narrow corridor of fairways and Ross green complexes and the Farm Course a bigger course lengthening to over 7300 yards, our members enjoy a variety in challenges for their golf games. A beautiful practice area with expansive hitting areas assures manicured turf for the diligent linksters. Short game area and practice putting green are available for full game improvement.


Starmount Country Club (www.starmountforest.com)

Starmount Forest Country Club is a private club located in Greensboro, North Carolina. It is nestled on 150 acres in the esteemed neighborhood of Starmount Forest just west of the downtown area.

Dating back to its beginning in 1930, Starmount has been a distinctive setting to play golf and tennis, entertain and conduct business, and enjoy both fine and casual dining. It is a place of unique charm and tradition, and a destination for socializing and fellowship. The 6,600-yard golf course provides challenges to the most avid golfers, and has hosted numerous professional and Pro-Am golf tournaments, including the 2007 North Carolina Amateur Tournament.


Challenge Golf Course (www.challengegolf.net)

The semi-private Challenge Golf Club offers a beautiful 18-hole course built on rolling farmland adjacent to the Haw River. Established in 1997, as part of the Master Planned Development Community, The Challenge Golf Club provides outstanding amenities, starting with a great golf course and a new clubhouse and swimming pool facility. 

The Challenge Golf Club is conveniently located in the center of North Carolina's Piedmont, just off Interstate 40/85, exit 148 in Graham, NC. Voted the Best New Course in the Piedmont, in 1997, by Carolinas Magazine, this 6828 yard championship course features some of the most beautiful and challenging holes in all of golf.
