relations, UNCGSpartans.com, spirit programs and the equipment
room. He also serves as the liaison with Under Armour and IMG
College for the department’s corporate partnerships. In
addition, he provides oversight for men’s and women’s

oversaw marketing for the department's 20 varsity sports, the
spirit squad and mascot programs and served as the department
liaison for Sooner Sports Properties and the OU student body.
George has developed a wide range of experience with time at several athletics departments across the country. Upon graduation from the University of Missouri in 1995, he completed internships at Missouri and with the University of Florida Athletics Association where he worked with the football, men's basketball, gymnastics, soccer, track and baseball programs. While with the Gators, he assisted with the development of the nationally-known Rowdy Reptiles student section.
In 1998, he was named an assistant director for marketing and promotions with the University of Georgia Athletics Association. His work with the Bulldog women's basketball, soccer, softball, tennis and track programs produced several attendance and revenue records. While in Athens, he also served as the marketing contact for NCAA Championships in women's gymnastics, men's tennis and women's swimming.
Following his stint at Georgia, he became director of marketing at TCU where he oversaw marketing and promotions activities for all of the department's varsity sports, the spirit and mascot programs and licensing. Attendance records were set in several sports, including the Horned Frog men's basketball single-game attendance mark. In addition, the Denver Post named TCU's Western Heritage Day the best college football promotion of 2003.
George is a member of the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators. He is married to the former Jessica Burnham. The couple has two daughters, Camryn (10/20/08) and Sienna (06/08/11) and reside in Greensboro.
