Played two seasons at Hartford Community College in Bel Air, Md. for coach Tom Eller … appeared as a starter and a reliever as a sophomore as he posted a 4-3 record with a 3.95 ERA … he finished the year third on the team with 47 strikeouts and also had two saves … helped lead his team to a school-best 44-13 record as a sophomore … went 2-2 with a 7.91 ERA as a freshman in 11 appearances.

High School:
Earned four varsity letters at Northwest High School for coach Matt Noble … was named the 2009 Gazette Player of the Year as a senior … also named first-team all-county after his last year … tied the school record for the most wins in a season as a senior after he went 7-0 … named team captain his final season … also had a 2.39 ERA as a senior in addition to going .413 with 16 RBI at the plate … earned first-team all-county honors as a junior, as well … had two varsity letters in golf and was named the team captain of the golf team as a senior.
