Men's Basketball Launches "7K on 11.12.12" Challenge For Home Opener
GREENSBORO- The UNCG athletics department has launched a special presale ticket offer for the "7K on 11.12.12" challenge in conjunction with the men's basketball home opener versus Winston-Salem State Monday, November 12 at 7pm, presented by Cone Health. The first 2,000 fans in attendance will receive free UNCG basketball t-shirts.
Fans can do their part by taking advantage of a special presale ticket offer where for only $10 you will receive a lower level ticket to the game and reserve yourself a free t-shirt. This special ticket offer is only available through the UNCG Athletics Ticket Office and must be purchased in advance by Monday, October 15 prior to tickets going on sale to the general public. The defending Southern Conference North Division champion UNCG men's basketball team will host 15 home games this season at the Greensboro Coliseum including teams from the ACC in Wake Forest and Virginia Tech, the BIG EAST in Rutgers, cross-town rival North Carolina A&T and eight SoCon games including Elon and Appalachian State. Why 7K?
The goal of 7,000 fans is based on the Greensboro Coliseum configuration for home games which is set to hold approximately 7,000 fans for each UNCG basketball game.
What's the current home opener record?
UNCG's current home opener attendance record is 5,672 set November 20, 2009 when the Spartans hosted Clemson. In addition, we look to break the current student attendance record of 2,400 which was also set at the Clemson game.
How much are tickets and how do I purchase?

Regular price tickets are $15 each beginning after October 15
th through
www.ticketmaster.com or by visiting the Greensboro Coliseum Box Office. Family 4-packs are also available which include 4 tickets, 4 Pepsi products, a tub of popcorn and a 10% merchandise coupon for only $44.
Students are admitted FREE to every home game by showing their UNCG i.d. at the student entrance. All student seating is general admission in the designated student sections surrounding the visiting team bench and basket by the band and spirit groups. A limited number of floor seats directly behind the visiting team basket are also available. Those seats are designated as Blue Crew seats and students must be wearing UNCG blue shirts. Free giveaways each game will be given to the first students to sit in those seats.
I am a season ticketholder, how can help?
Season ticketholders you can do your part to help us reach our goal by spreading the word and utilizing your Buddy Passes for the game. Invite a friend, neighbor or family member to join you for the game. Each season ticketholder receives three Buddy Passes which can be redeemed on the day of the game for a free ticket to any game.
Where do I park?
The Coliseum has parking available at the complex as well as several surrounding lots within walking distance to the arena. Students can park free in the Lee Street Commuter Lot or catch a free shuttle from campus by the EUC to and from the game.
How do I get a free t-shirt?
The first 2,000 fans in attendance will receive the free t-shirt giveaway. Gates open at 5:45pm for the 7:00 p.m. tip-off. Sizes will vary so fans are encouraged to arrive early. The UNCG Merchandise Stand will also be open for fans wishing to purchase additional UNCG gear and spirit items including Under Armour gear, t-shirts, sweatshirts, poms, car magnets, hats etc.
What can I do to help?
