Wood 14th, UNCG 13th after two rounds at Rice Intercollegiate

MISSOURI CITY, Texas – Burton Wood is tied for 14th in the individual standings and UNC Greensboro is 13th as a team after two rounds at the sixth annual Rice Intercollegiate held at Willowisp CC.

Wood, who is playing in the tournament as an individual, fired a 73 in the morning round and followed with a 76 in the afternoon to sit nine-over-par and five shots off the lead.

J.D. Bass is tied for 23rd, seven shots off the pace at 11-over 151.

Santa Clara leads the team standings after shooting a two-round total of 593. Santa Clara’s Michael Nicoletti and Richmond’s Tim Courtney are tied for the individual lead at four-over 144.

The third and final round gets underway Tuesday at 8 am.
