UNCG third as four Spartans finish in Top 20 at Lacrosse Homes

GRASONVILLE, Md. – Four Spartans recorded Top 20 finishes led by Nathan Stamey in sixth as UNC Greensboro recorded a third-place team finish at the Lacrosse Homes Collegiate Invitational at Prospect Bay Country Club.

Stamey fired his second consecutive 74 to place sixth in the individual standings, while Darragh Coghlan was seventh after carding a 77 on Sunday. Will Bowman finished tied for 14th and Drew Younts tied for 19th as UNCG carded a 303 on Sunday.

Longwood won the team title, recorded a score of 598, two shots better than Liberty and four better than UNCG. Loyola-MD’s Michael Mulieri won the individual title, recording the best round of the day on Sunday. He shot a 69 on Sunday to come back from five shots down to win the individual crown.

UNCG returns to action on Monday when it travels to the Ole Miss Reunion Classic in Madison, MS.
