Chapman named Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar

Colin Chapman

NORMAN, Okla. – Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholars were recently announced and UNCG's Colin Chapman earned a spot on the prestigious squad.

Chapman helped lead UNCG to a runner-up finish at the 2011 South Conference Championship. The rising senior owned a 74.18 stroke average and enjoyed a pair of top 10 finishes last season. The business administration major owns a 3.84 cumulative grade-point average.

A total of 138 players in Division I earned the honor. To be eligible for Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar status an individual must be a junior or senior academically, compete in at least two full years at the collegiate level, participate in 70-percent of his team's competitive rounds or compete in the NCAA Championships, have a stroke-average under 76.0, and maintain a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university.
