Men’s golf concludes play at Pinehurst

PINEHURST, N.C. –UNCG men's golf team fired a final round 292 to finish 11th at the Pinehurst Intercollegiate, which wrapped up play Sunday at Pinehurst No. 6.

UNCG completed the three-round tournament with an overall score of 902 (308-302-292). Old Dominion captured the team title after shooting 871.

Freshman Alex Ehlert led the Spartans, shooting a 2-under par 70 on Sunday to finish tied for eight at 219 (75-74-70). Villanova's Michael Kania earned individual medalist honors with a 210.

Robert Hoadley finished tied for 40th after matching Ehlert with a 70 on Sunday, completing play at 227 (79-78-70). Will Almand finished tied for 44th at 228 (76-75-77).

Roy Dixon finished tied for 52nd at 231 (81-75-75), while Andy Knox finished 69th at 242 (78-85-79).

Kyle Sonday played as an individual and finished tied for 33rd at 225 (76-72-77).
