Men's Golf Finishes 11th At Wolfpack Intercollegiate

 RALEIGH, N.C. – The UNCG men's golf team finished in 11th place overall after 54-holes of stroke play at the Wolfpack Intercollegiate hosted by N.C. State at the Lonnie Poole Golf Course. The Spartans posted a three-round score of 904 (299-304-305), while No. 37 North Carolina picked up the title with a team score of 854 (287-291-276).

North Carolina's Brandon Dalinka took home the individual title with a 6-under par 210 (73-71-66), to win the event by four strokes.
 
Senior Robert Hoadley (Southern Pines, N.C./Union Pines) was the Spartans' top finisher placing in a tie for 42nd overall with a 9-over par 225 (75-78-72). Hoadley posted UNCG's top final round score Saturday afternoon, shooting an even-par 72.
 
Sophomore Roy Dixon (Salisbury, N.C./Salisbury) and freshman Taylor Coalson (Dobson, N.C./North Surry) each earned a 46th place finish. Dixon fired a 10-over par 226 (74-79-73) while Coalson carded a 10-over par 226 (71-76-79).
 
Freshman Luke Haithcock (Burlington, N.C./Williams) turned in a score of 231 (79-74-78) to place tied for 58th. Freshman Will Brown (Statesville, N.C./Forsyth Country Day) made his collegiate debut at the tournament as one of the Spartans' two individuals. Brown turned in a score of 236 (80-75-81), including a 3-over par 75 in his second round of play.
 
The Spartans return to action Oct. 27-28 as they host their annual fall tournament the 2012 Bridgestone Golf Collegiate held at Grandover Resort. The 54-hole tournament begins Saturday with a two-round 36-hole day before concluding with 18 holes Sunday.
