Elisabetarson earns second All-SoCon, O'Keeffe and Manyama second team

SPARTANBURG, SC – Three UNC Greensboro student-athletes earned all-conference honors when the Southern Conference announced its annual award for men's soccer on Friday afternoon. Jokull Elisabetarson, Tebatso Manyama and E.J. O'Keeffe were all among the honorees when the announcement was made.

Elisabetarson, a senior from Reykjavik, Iceland, earned his second straight all-conference honor. He started all 18 matches and had seven points on two goals and three assists. Manyama and O'Keeffe both earned second team honors. Manyama was second on the team in scoring with seven points on three goals and one assist, while O'Keeffe was a strong defender for the Spartans, starting all 18 contests.

Elon coach and UNCG alumnus Darren Powell was named the conference's Coach of the Year, while Elon's Justin Wyatt was voted Player of the Year and Furman's Coleton Henning was named Freshman of the Year.

UNCG begins Southern Conference Tournament play on Saturday with a quarterfinal match at Furman, beginning at 1 pm.
