UNCG travels to take on Davidson in a key SoCon match-up on Saturday night. The Spartans are coming off a 2-2 tie against red-hot College of Charleston on Wednesday night. Davidson played a scoreless tie with Furman on Tuesday night.

UNCG holds a 16-7 advantage all-time against Davidson, and won last year's meeting in Greensboro, 3-1, to end the Wildats Southern Conference tournament hopes. UNCG won the Southern Conference Tournament title at Davidson's Alumni Stadium in 2008 (getting by Georgia Southern in PKs and downing College of Charleston) after suffering a 1-0 setback during the regular season on the same pitch against Davidson.

UNCG and Davidson are tied for second in the league in scoring, both having tallied 19 goals this season (although Davidson has played one more game thus far). However, UNCG's offense has come to life as of late, scoring eight goals in the last two matches.

The Wildcats are led by the duo of Alex Caskey and Mark Millard. Both have 12 points this season on five goals and two assists. They have scored more than half of Davidson's goal this year (10 out of 19).

Chip Sanders has done most of Davidson's goalkeeping this season. He has a 1.25 GAA and a .773 save percentage in 1226 minutes of action. He has recorded back-to-back shutouts.

The Davidson goalkeepers have recorded 61 saves – the most in the SoCon this season. But, the 80 shots on goal they have faced are the most among any SoCon team this season.

Hakan Ilhan leads UNCG in scoring with 12 points (4g, 4a). He has six points in the last two matches, logging a goal and an assist in each of those two. Eli Garner, Brian Graham and Aaron Reifschneider are all tied for second at six points.

Peyton Ford is UNCG's starting goalkeeper. He has a 1.43 GAA in 1132 minutes of action this season. Ford has a .695 save percentage on the year, playing all but four minutes this season.

UNCG will return home to face Wofford on Tuesday night at 7 p.m.
