Shore named Jewish Sports Review All-American

NEW YORK – UNCG redshirt freshman Adam Shore was named to the Jewish Sports Review's 2010 Men's All-America College Soccer Team, the publication announced in its January/February issue.

Shore was UNCG's third-leading scorer this season. The forward from Summerfield, N.C., who prepped at American Hebrew Academy, scored 13 points on six goals and one assist. His one game-winning goal was a big one, as it was UNCG's lone score in a 1-0 win over longtime rival Furman that clinched a share of the Southern Conference regular-season title and the top seed in the SoCon Championship.

Shore scored in four straight matches from Oct. 19-30 and was named to the SoCon All-Freshman Team for his efforts on the year.

He helped the Spartans to a 12-6-4 overall record and a 4-1-2 mark in league play. Shore and the Spartans rattled off an 11-match unbeaten streak after dropping their first SoCon contest of the season and qualified for the NCAA tournament for the 10th time at the Division I level.

Shore was the lone forward on the 12-member Jewish Sports Review All-America Team and one of just two freshmen.

The Jewish Sports Review is a bi-monthly publication that highlights the accomplishments of Jewish athletes at the high school, college and professional levels.
