Ilhan enters the 2012 season with 56 career points, on the strength of 22 goals and 12 assists. He earned Third Team All-Region honors last season when he led the league in game-winning goals with four and was second in shots with 57. As a sophomore, he earned First Team All-SoCon honors after leading the league with 31 points and 12 goals.
Ilhan and the Spartans continue play Tuesday night as they travel to Johnson City, Tenn., for a non-conference contest with East Tennessee State. Game time is set for 7 p.m.

Hakan Ilhan Ranked Preseason Top 100 Men's Soccer Upperclassmen
GREENSBORO, N.C. – UNCG senior forward Hakan Ilhan (Stuttgart, Germany/Univ. of Stuttgart) has been No. 63 in TopDrawerSoccer.com's preseason rankings of the Top 100 Upperclassmen in NCAA Division I men's soccer. Ilhan is just one of three players from the Southern Conference listed in the Top 100 list, joining Furman's Walker Zimmerman (No. 12) and Martin Ontiveros (No. 48).
Ilhan, a preseason All-SoCon selection, led the Spartans and was second in the SoCon in scoring with 25 points on his way to First Team All-league accolades. He scored a team-high 10 goals, which ranked second in the SoCon, while handing out two assists.
