Four Spartans in semifinals on Saturday at UNCG Fall Invitational
GREENSBORO, N.C. - UNC Greensboro had four players advance into Saturday's semifinal round in singles action at the UNCG Fall Tennis Invitational on Friday.
Top-seeded Orcun Seyrek and Arsel Kumdereli each won twice to advance to opposite semifinal round matches in Flight A1, while Timion Meijs advanced to the semifinals in Flight A2 with two wins and top-seeded Yaroslav Litus advanced to the semifinals in Flight A3. Seyrek is ranked No. 95 in the ITA's preseason Top 125. The 2009 SoCon Player of the Year and Freshman of the Year, Seyrek is now 27-4 in his career at UNCG.
Only three preliminary round matches were played in the two doubles flights on Friday. Two rounds of doubles will be played on Saturday.
Play resumes at 9 am on Saturday.
