Reece advances to play in singles and doubles final on Sunday at Elon

ELON, N.C. – UNCG's Zach Reece will play for his second singles flight title in as many weeks on Sunday after picking up two wins on Saturday at the Elon Men's Tennis Fall Invitational.

 

Reece, a redshirt freshman from Marietta, Ga. who won a flight at the Baras Classic in Chattanooga last weekend, downed Coastal Carolina's Peter Billingham and Elon's Phillip Meyer to earn a spot in the Flight B2 finals on Sunday. Now 8-2 for the fall season, Reece will face UNC Wilmington's Alex Weatherall in the finals.

 

Reece will also play for a doubles title on Sunday, alongside Jimmy Roueche in Flight C. The defeated Ivan Ho and Ed Snead from Presbyterian, 8-3.

 

The tournament resumes Sunday at 8 a.m. with doubles action.
