UNCG opens play at ITA Carolinas Regional
DURHAM, N.C. – UNCG had all three doubles teams advance in the first round of play at the ITA Carolinas Regional men's tennis tournament on Thursday, but then saw all three duos fall in the second round of action.
The biggest win of the three in the opening round came from Timion Meijs and Chanon Varapongsittikul. The duo knocked off the seeded pair of Ivan Machafo and Harry Menzies from South Carolina, 8-6.
The regional continues on Friday as singles play gets underway at 9 a.m.
