Phillips and Dougherty End Play at USTA//TA Carolina Regional Championships

CARY, N.C. – Sophomore Randy Phillips (Snellville, Ga. / Brookwood) and freshman James Dougherty (Melbourne, Australia) lost in a tough 8-4 doubles match to UNCW's Raphael Aita and Sam Williams, Saturday, Oct. 20, knocking them out of the USTA/ITA Carolina Regional Championship.  

The Spartans will return to action for their final fall season tournament at the Winthrop Fall Invitational, Nov. 2 through Nov. 4 in Rock Hill, S.C.
