Nineteen UNCG student-athletes named to Academic All-Conference team
SPARTANBURG, SC – Nineteen UNCG students were named to the TIAA-CREF Academic All-Conference teams for the 2006 fall season. A total of 238 student-athletes, representing all Southern Conference institutions, were named to the team.

Spartans compete in the Southeast Regional Championships
LOUISVILLE, KY – The UNC Greensboro cross country teams competed in the Southeast Regional Championships on Saturday at the E.P. “Tom” Sawyer Park. The men posted a 20th place finish, while the women took 31st to conclude the 2006 season.

UNCG men record best-ever conference meet finish, two earn all-conference
CHATTANOOGA, TN – With two Top 10 finishers for the first time ever at a conference championship, UNC Greensboro finished third on the men’s side to go along with a ninth place finish on the women’s side at the 2006 Southern Conference Cross Country Championships held at Moccasin Bend on Saturday.

Rodd sets PR as Spartan men 10th, women 9th at Blue Ridge Open
BOONE, NC – Ryan Rodd broke a personal record by 20 seconds as UNC Greensboro’s men’s cross country team placed 10th and the women’s team placed ninth at the Blue Ridge Open Cross Country Meet hosted by Appalachian State on Friday evening.

MANASSAS, VA – Four runners record their personal best times for UNC Greensboro at the Mason Invitational on Saturday at Bull Run Regional Park. The men’s squad finished with three runners in the Top 20.

ROCK HILL, SC – With four runners recording Top 10 finishes, the UNC Greensboro men’s cross country team placed second at the Asics Winthrop Invitational on Saturday, while the women’s squad finished sixth.

SPARTANBURG, SC -- UNC Greensboro's men's cross country team is picked to finish fifth in the Southern Conference and the women's team is picked seventh in the pre-season balloting of the league's coaches, which was announced Wednedsay.

Spartan cross country teams open season with relay at Charlotte
CHARLOTTE, NC - Jess Weber and Courtney Fawcett teamed up for a sixth-place finish on the women’s side, while Josh Wyatt and T.J. Wyatt teamed up to finish 14th on the men’s side to lead UNC Greensboro as the cross country teams opened the 2006 season at the Charlotte Relay Meet.
