UNCG set for Greater Louisville Classic on Saturday
GREENSBORO, N.C. – In perhaps its toughest event this season, the UNCG cross country team will hit the road to compete at the Ninth Annual Greater Louisville Classic on Saturday at E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park.
The Louisville Sports Commission will host 97 colleges and universities from 20 states this weekend. Due to the volume of runners, the event was broken down into three races each for men and women. The Spartans will compete in the gold race for the men and women, which is the highest rated race for each team.
The men's race will begin at 9:30 a.m., while the women will start at 10:15 a.m.
Running for the men's team will be Brian Carrington, Andy Clyne, Jermaine Coore, Kenny Hinman, Mike Koech, AJ Savoia and Joey Thompson.
Ginny Cronley, Tiffany Garber, Anna Grimes, Kerry Hartman, Kelly Montague, Jenna Paley, Ashley Schnell and Shaina Sumney will represent the women's team this weekend.
