Saturday's softball opening ceremony postponed; opening games moved to Sunday

GREENSBORO, NC - Saturday's opening cermonies for the new UNCG softball stadium and scheduled softball doubleheader have been postponed due to impending inclement weather.

Saturday's National Weather Service forecast for the Greensboro area currently calls for a rain and snow mix to begin in the early morning hours and continue through most of the day and into the night. Precipitation is forecast to end late Saturday night or Sunday morning.

The ceremonies, scheduled to get underway at 12:45 pm, have been rescheduled for Saturday, March 25. The Spartans will host Elon in a Southern Conference doubleheader that afternoon.

Saturday's scheduled doubleheader between UNCG and Radford has been tentatively rescheduled for Sunday at 12 noon.
