UNCG’s season-opener rained out in Jacksonville, Fla.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – UNC Greensboro's softball team will have to wait one more day for its season-opener, as the first day of competition at the Jacksonville University Tournament has been rained out. UNCG had been scheduled to play Virginia Tech at 11:15 a.m. and the host Dolphins at 3:45 p.m. Friday.

Saturday's schedule will remain the same. UNCG will now open the 2010 campaign against Drexel at 10 a.m. and play Bethune-Cookman at 2:30 p.m.

Sunday's schedule has been modified to include a game between UNCG and Virginia Tech. That contest will begin at 1 p.m., followed by JU and UNCG at 3 p.m. The latter game had originally been slated for 1:30 p.m.
