Twenty-three UNCG student-athletes named Academic All-SoCon
SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Twenty-three UNCG student-athletes earned spots on the spring 2011 Academic All-Southern Conference Team, the league office announced Thursday. The Spartans had a league-best four of the 13 student-athletes with perfect 4.0 GPAs.

Bedwell leads Canada to pair of wins at Pan American Championship
BOGOTA, Colombia Incoming UNCG freshman Katelyn Bedwell led the Canadian Junior Women's National Team to a pair of wins at the III Pan American Championship in the last two days, rapping out five hits in the two games. Canada topped tournament host Colombia 9-3 on Tuesday, then mercy-ruled Peru 12-0 Wednesday morning.

Twenty-four UNCG student-athletes named Academic All-SoCon
SPARTANBURG, S.C. Twenty-four UNCG student-athletes earned spots on the spring 2010 Academic All-Southern Conference Team, the league office announced Wednesday. The Spartans Joey Thompson (mens track and field) and Mikayla Rogers (womens tennis) accounted for two of the six perfect 4.0 GPAs in the league.

Bedwell named to Canadian Junior Women's National Team
GREENSBORO, N.C. Incoming UNC Greensboro freshman Katelyn Bedwell has been named to the Canadian Junior Womens National Team, Softball Canada announced Wednesday.
