Final day of Pirate Clash canceled, will not be made up

GREENVILLE, N.C. – The final day of East Carolina's Pirate Clash has been canceled due to the threat of inclement weather in the Greenville area. UNCG's two contests slated for Sunday will not be made up.

The Spartans had been scheduled to play Virginia at 11 a.m. and Hofstra at 1 p.m.

UNCG returns to action Friday, Feb. 24, when it hosts the Spartan Classic at the UNCG Softball Stadium. Drexel, Rider and Utah join the Spartans in the tournament field.
