GREENSBORO, N.C. – With the 2012-13 UNCG women's basketball season just days from tipping off, uncgspartans.com will give Spartan fans a closer look at the ladies who will don the Blue and Gold in the coming months. Today we will profile the junior class – Vianka Cotton, Breonna Patterson and Janae' Stevenson.

As an upperclassman now, what are some of the things you will do to help lead the team this season?
Vianka: As a transfer I want to give the team high energy.
Breonna: As an upperclassman, some of the things I will do to help lead my team this season is always have a positive attitude and encourage my teammates when things get tough.
Janae': As an upperclassman I will lead by example more because having a year experience with Coach Palmer I know what she expects. I will also be a factor not only on the offensive side but defensive as well because defense creates the offense for you.

What is the best thing about playing at UNCG?
Vianka: The best thing about playing at UNCG is that the team plays at a high tempo.
Breonna: The best thing about playing at UNCG is that I get to meet a lot of different people.
Janae': The best thing about playing at UNCG is being surrounded by and meeting former players who have played here. Listening to their experience and comparing them to mine just makes me more thankful for what we have now. Some always say you can't appreciate what you have if you don't know where you come from.

What is the best moment of your collegiate basketball playing career thus far?
Vianka: The best moment in my career is winning a conference championship, cutting down the nets and going to the Sweet 16.
Breonna: The best moment of my collegiate basketball career thus far was when we went to Florida.
Janae': The best moment of my collegiate basketball playing career was traveling to Florida. It was my first time ever on a plane and to have that experience through basketball made it 10 times better.

What impresses you most about Coach Palmer?
Vianka: Coach Palmer knows basketball from a player's perspective.
Breonna: I am most impressed by the life lessons she teaches us every day.
Janae': What impresses me most about Coach Palmer is the fact that not only does she wear heels but she has confidence when she is wearing them.

What are some of your goals for the upcoming season?
Vianka: I want to be able to contribute and make a difference.
Breonna: Some of my goals for this upcoming season are to win more games and be an effective leader on and off the floor.
Janae': My goals for this upcoming season are to lead the team in rebounding, become a top scorer and also have an undefeated record in the conference.

Which WNBA player do you think most resembles your own style of play?
Vianka: My style resembles Tully Louise Bevilaqua because of her defensive effort.
Breonna: Ivory Latta
Janae': I do not watch the WNBA much so it is difficult to pick just one player.
