UNC Greensboro finishes seventh at Pine Needles Intercollegiate women’s golf tournament

PINEHURST, N.C. – Gabby DiMora finished tied for 23rd and Jennifer Link fired the best round of the day with a 72 on Tuesday to pace UNC Greensboro to a seventh place finish at the Pine Needles Intercollegiate women’s golf tournament.

DiMora shot a 79 on Tuesday to finish as UNCG’s best scorer. Link recovered from a difficult day on Monday to fire even-par on the course that will host the 2007 U.S. Women’s Open and rally to 39th place.

Emilie Geury of Augusta State won the individual title. She won by one shot over Georgia State’s Anna Scott and three shots over Marlowe Boukis of Princeton. Augusta State also won the team title on a fifth-player tiebreaker over Georgia State.
