Spartans finish 11th at Lady Paladin

GREENVILLE, S.C. – UNC Greensboro wrapped up play at the Lady Paladin Women’s Golf Invitational and finished in a tie for 11th on Sunday.

The Spartans were led by Gabby DiMora, who fired a 79 on Sunday to finish in a tie for 38th place. She carded a three-round total of 239. Ashley Mylton was one shot behind her in a tie for 41st place with a tournament total of 240. She shot a final round 81 on Sunday.

Just six sub-par rounds were recorded the entire weekend, including only one in Sunday’s final round. That was recorded by Memphis’ Stacey Tate, who shot a tournament-low 69 on Sunday. Despite her first round over par all weekend, Northwestern’s Alice Kim held on for the individual title and led the Wildcats to the team title. Kim shot a 76 on Sunday to finish at even-par 216 and earn a two-shot victory over Coastal Carolina’s Araceli Felgueroso. Tate finished third, three shots off of the pace. 

Northwestern won the team title by 12 shots over Memphis with a score of 912. South Florida was third. UNC Greensboro carded a team score of 967 and finished in a three-way tie with Mississippi State and Minnesota.

UNCG returns to action in two weeks when it competes at the Lady Pirate Invitational hosted by East Carolina.
