Aidemark and Creed fire opening rounds of 74 at UNCW

WALLACE, N.C. – Sofia Aidemark and Erica Creed are both tied for third after the opening round at the UNCW Lady Seahawk Invitational at River Landing Golf Club.

The field was slated to play two rounds on Monday, but came up one hole shy of completing the second round before darkness set in on Monday. The groups will all return to their stopping points first thing Tuesday morning, and then play the final round shortly thereafter.

Aidemark and Creed were just two shots off the pace when the first round was completed around midday on Monday. Both trail East Carolina’s Abby Bools and Campbell’s Belen Diaz Cisneros by two shots.

The Spartans were in third place after the opening round, carding a 303. Campbell held the team lead through the first 18 holes at 296, followed by East Carolina five shots back.

The teams will complete the second round at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday and immediately go into the third and final round of play.
