UNCG's Aidemark named to ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District

GREENSBORO, NC – UNC Greensboro junior women’s golfer Sofia Aidemark has been named to the ESPN the Magazine Women’s At-Large Academic All-District second team in voting by members of College Sports Information Directors of America.

Aidemark, a native of Laholm, Sweden, has a 3.92 GPA in communication studies. She was UNCG’s low scorer for the season with a 77.97 average. She appeared in all 10 tournaments, logging three Top 20 finishes to raise her career total to six. She was a Dean’s List student in the fall semester and made the Chancellor’s List for the third straight semester last fall.

The Women’s At-Large team consists of 13 sports: women’s tennis, women’s golf, field hockey, women’s rowing / crew, women’s swimming and diving, women’s bowling, women’s fencing, women’s ice hockey, women’s lacrosse, women’s rifle, women’s skiing, women’s gymnastics and women’s water polo. Aidemark was named to the second-team District III squad, which covers Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida. Ten student-athletes are named to each team.
