Aidemark and Creed honors by NGCA for academics
CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Sofia Aidemark and Erica Creed are among 410 female student-athletes named to the National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Teams.
The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50 and student-athletes must have competed in at least 50% (Division I) or 66% (Division II & III) of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year.
Aidemark, who was also a CoSIDA Academic All-District at-large selection, is a native of Laholm, Sweden. A senior next season, she had a 3.96 GPA in communication studies. She was UNCG's low scorer for the season with a 77.97 average. She appeared in all 10 tournaments, logging three Top 20 finishes to raise her career total to six. She was a Dean's List student in the fall and spring semester and made the Chancellor's List for the fourth straight semester in the spring. She has also been on the Athletic Director's honor roll all six semesters.
Creed, who will be a junior next season, is a native of
Kernersville, N.C. She was second on the team in scoring last year
with a 78.38 average. She appeared in all 10 tournaments, with a
pair of Top 10 finishes, including a third-place finish at the
Starmount Fall Classic, to give her five Top 10 finishes in 20
career starts. Also a communications studies major, she has a 3.54
GPA and has earned a spot on the Athletic Director's honor
roll all four semesters.
