After round of 299, UNCG 12th after two rounds at Windy City Collegiate

GLENVIEW, Ill. - UNC Greensboro's women's golf team shot a second round 299 as a team to finish the day at 605 after two rounds at the Windy City Collegiate Championship hosted by Northwestern University at The Glen View Club.

Purdue, the No. 1-ranked team in the nation in the GolfStat rankings, holds a commanding 18-shot lead entering Tuesday's final round. The Boilermakers shot an unbelievable 279 in the morning, followed by a 285 in the afternoon for a total of 564, 18 shots ahead of Arizona and 19 better than New Mexico. UNCG is tied with Oklahoma for 12th place at 605.

Courtney Taylor and Sofia Aidemark were UNCG's top individuals on Monday. Taylor, a freshman from Gastonia, N.C. shot even-par 72 in the morning to sit in early contention, but dropped off with a 78 in the second round. Aidemark, a senior from Laholm, Sweden, carded identical rounds of 75 on the day.

Maude-Aimee LeBlanc holds the individual lead after 36 holes at seven-under par 137. She has a four-shot lead over teammate Junthima Gulyanamitta and a five-shot lead over Min Yean Tan of Michigan and Notre Dame's Annie Brophy.

Tuesday's final round will get underway with tee times at 7:30 a.m. off of Nos. 1 and 10. UNCG players will begin in the 7:48 a.m. group off No. 10 tee.
