HIGHLAND PARK, Ill. – UNCG sophomore Courtney Taylor shot a final-round 73 to lead the Spartans as they wrapped up play in 10th place at the Windy City Collegiate Championship.
Purdue won the team title, with a score of 876, giving the Boilermakers their third straight title. Iowa State was second at 883, followed by Texas Tech. UNCG finished in 10th place at 943.
Purdue's Numa Gulanamitta shot a final-round 70 to rally for the tournament title, beating TCU's Brooke Beeler and Iowa State's Prima Thammaraks for the individual honors. Taylor's final-round 73 moved her up to a tie for 26th place with a 54-hole score of 231.
UNCG returns to action on Friday when it open play at the Mercedes Benz Collegiate in Knoxville, Tenn.
