New Zealand's Lydia Ko won the individual title with a 14-under par 274 (70-69-67-68) to finish in a six-shot lead over Finland's Krista Bakker at 8-under 280 (72-70-69-69).
South Korea won the 2012 World Team Championship with a 13-under par 563 (144-136-141-142) to win the world title by three strokes over Germany (566=144-141-144-137). Belgium finished at 2-over par 578 (144-145-149-140) to place 12th overall.
Cnops will miss the Spartans' 2012 Starmount Forest Tournament this Monday and Tuesday due to her travel back from the World Team Championships. She will rejoin the Spartans in their next event at the Lady Pirate Intercollegiate Oct. 8-9.

Cnops Finishes Tied For 12th At 2012 World Team Championships
ANTALYA, Turkey – UNCG sophomore golfer Fanny Cnops (Gent, Belgium/K.A. Voskenslaan) finished tied for 12th overall playing for Belgium at the 2012 World Team Championships at the Gloria Golf Club New Couse in Antalya, Turkey this past weekend, firing a 2-under par 286 (71-71-75-68) in the field of 157 players. Cnops was the top finisher for Belgium as she helped her home country to a 12th place team finish in the 53-team tournament.
Cnops, the reigning Southern Conference Player and Freshman of the Year, moved up 12 spots in the final day when she posted her best score of the four-round tournament with a 3-under par 69. She recorded five birdies and just two bogeys on the day, including a finish of two birdies in the final three holes.
