2009-10: Redshirted the season … went 5-8 at 165 pounds as an unattached wrestler at four tournaments … started the year going 2-2 at the Virginia Tech Open where he recorded a pin over Newberry’s John Nichols and a major decision against Ohio’s Josh Kassil … also went 2-2 at the UNC Pembroke Open … competed in the NC State Open and Southern Scuffle, as well.
2008-09: Began the season wrestling unattached at the first five tournaments ... moved into the starting lineup at 174 pounds when Byron Sigmon was sidelined with a knee injury ... went 4-2 at the UNC Pembroke Open with three pins, including a 33 second pin over Cumberland's Miles Taylor ... pinned UNCP's Teague Little at the NC State Open in the first period ... went 2-2 at the Davidson Open with two 15-0 tech fall wins over Limestone's Jeremiah Perkins and UNC Pembroke's Jamar Jackson ... also had a 2-2 record at the Hokie Open.
