Women’s Soccer Prepares for First Regular Season Match

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNCG women's soccer team is making its final preparations for the 2012 season in practice this week. UNCG sports caught up with upperclassmen Karin Sendel and Tinna Bergthorsdottir on their feelings for the upcoming season.

"We have been working on team shape and how we are going to defend this year," said Sendel. "This is the first game that really counts so we are excited to start our season."

"I think we are really close as a group and we are looking forward to starting the season," said Bergthorsdottir.

The season will kick off on Friday, Aug. 17 against SEC foe Georgia at 7 p.m. at UGA Soccer Stadium.
