Women’s Soccer Receiving Votes in NSCAA Top 25 Poll

KANSAS CITY, KS.
– The UNCG women's soccer team is off to a 2-1 start and holds a win over then No. 7 Wake Forest. This week, the Spartans are receiving votes in the NSCAA/Continental Tire Top 25 women's soccer poll and are ranked seventh in the NSCAA Southeast poll.

UNCG started the season with a tough 1-0 loss in double overtime against SEC foe Georgia, but rebounded with two-straight wins against Wake Forest (1-0) and UNC Asheville (7-0) this past weekend.

The victory against the Demon Deacons was the highest ranked win in program history as Wake Forest was ranked as high as No. 5 in the Soccer Times publication.

The Spartans picked up two votes in the Top 25 NSCAA poll and are receiving a vote in the Soccer Times coaches poll this week.   

The Blue and Gold also entered the NSCAA Southeast poll for the first time this season ranked and is seventh ahead of three ACC schools in North Carolina, Wake Forest and Maryland.
