UNCG drops 6-1 decision at UCF

ORLANDO, FL – Erica Zabkar rallied for a three-set win, but it was the lone triumph for the day for UNC Greensboro as the Spartans dropped a 6-1 decision to Central Florida in women’s tennis action Sunday.

Zabkar, a junior from Atlanta, GA, rallied after losing the first set, 6-4, to Kenda Belbacha. Zabkar defeated Belbacha in the second set, 6-2, and then won the 10-point tiebreaker, 10-4.

However, UCF (5-5) won the remaining five singles matches and all three doubles pro-sets to earn the victory.

UNCG (3-3) returns to action on Monday when it plays at Stetson in a rescheduled match from Sunday.
