Spartans wrap-up action at ITA Regional
CHAPEL HILL, NC – UNC Greensboro’s doubles tandem of Arielle VonStrolley and Erica Zabkar pulled off a first round upset, but were eliminated in the second round of action at the ITA Southeast Regional on the campus of the University of North Carolina.
VonStrolley and Zabkar defeated the Clemson duo of Ina Hadziselimovic and Kathi Gerber, 8-4. However, the Spartan duo lost to second-seeded Tarika Bertrand and Amanda Fish of Vanderbilt, 8-2, in the second round.
In other action, Zabkar, Valerie Behr and Emily Wade were all eliminated in straight sets during first round singles action. Behr and Lisa Suggs were eliminated in the first round of doubles action.
