UNCG rolls past Longwood in rain-shortened rout, 4-0
FARMVILLE, Va. – UNC Greensboro raised its record to 6-2 on the season Thursday with a 4-0 win over Longwood in women's tennis action.
The Spartans swept the three doubles matches and all three singles matches that were decided prior to weather moving into the area. Lucy Dougherty and Jessica Eblen had easy wins in singles actions along with a forfeit victory for Sarah Templeton. Eblen won by identical 6-0 scores over Eileen Sullivan. Dougherty topped Nasim Moadab, 6-1 and 6-0 to raise her record to 11-7 on the season..
The Spartans were winning the other three matches that were in progress when rain moved into the area and halted play for the day.
UNCG returns to action when it hosts College of Charleston on Saturday at 10 am.
