Spartans seeded third for women's tennis tourney

SPARTANBURG, SC - UNC Greensboro is seeded third and will face either Elon or Western Carolina in the Southern Conference Women's Tennis Tournament's quarterfinal round at 1 pm Friday.

The tournament gets underway on Thursday with first round matches. Elon and Western Carolina will play in one of those three matches at 1 pm on Thursday at the Bulrington Tennis Center. The Phoenix are seeded sixth, while the Catamounts are the 11th-seeded team in the 11-team tournament. The women's tournament bracket returns to the Elon campus on Friday for four matches, including the UNCG match.
