Rogers wins opener at Wake Forest Invitational

GREENSBORO, N.C. - UNC Greensboro's Mikayla Rogers earned an opening round win Friday at the Wake Forest Fall Women's Tennis Invitational.

Rogers had the only victory of the day for the Spartans, topping Davidson's Romina Clemente, 6-0 and 6-1. She will face Isabell Arana in a quarterfinal round match on Saturday at noon.

Play resumes Saturday morning with doubles action.
