UNCG travels to Colorado for this weekend's USAFA Invitational

COLORADO SPRING, Colo. – The UNCG women's tennis team resumes its fall slate this weekend with a cross-country journey to the United States Air Force Academy for the USAFA Invitational.

 

The Spartans will join host Air Force, Arizona, Colorado, Colorado State, Eastern Michigan, Iowa State, New Mexico, Northern Colorado, Oklahoma State, Oregon and Wyoming in the 10-team tournament.

 

This is the third fall event of the season for the Spartans. UNCG opened the year at the Davidson Invitational, where Niltooli Wilkins took top honors overall. Two weeks ago, the Spartans had a strong showing at the UVA Fall Invitational  in Charlottesville, Va. Wilkins advanced to the finals of the Flight B singles bracket, while Alex Whitehead and Stephanie Macfarlane finished third in the Flight B doubles bracket. Whitehead also finished third in the Flight C singles bracket.

 

Tournament draws will be posted when they become available.
