Rogers named to Capital One Academic All-District team

GREENSBORO, N.C. – UNCG women's tennis player Mikayla Rogers has been selected to the Capital One Academic All-District III Second Team, the College Sports Information Directors of America announced on Thursday.

Rogers, a senior this past season, has a perfect 4.0 GPA in media studies at UNCG.

This spring in singles, Rogers went 8-4 in dual matches, including an impressive 6-1 mark in Southern Conference matches. She went 5-4 at No. 6 singles and added a 2-0 mark at No. 5 and a win in her only attempt at No. 3.

In doubles, she went 7-7 at No. 3, teaming with Devon Sutherland in 11 of those matches.

As a junior, Rogers was named second-team All-Southern Conference in doubles with teammate Alex Whitehead.
