Wilkins Drops Close Match at Pre-Qualifying

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Senior Niltooli Wilkins (Burnsville, Minn. / Homeschooled) played hard in the 2012 Riviera/ITA Women's All-American Championships Saturday, in Pacific Palisades, California, but fell in the first round to Cierra Gaytan-Leach from Missouri, 6-4, 6-4.

Gaytan-Leach transferred to Missouri from Texas and was the 2012 Big 12 champion at No. 4 singles and posted 27 victories last season for the Longhorns.

Wilkins will join her teammates Oct. 5-7 at the Wake Forest Invitational.
