UNCGs 4 x 1500m mens relay sets new school record at Raleigh Relays
RALEIGH, NC – The UNC Greensboro men’s 4 x 1500 relay posted a 14th place finish and set a new school record with a time of 16:24.92, shattering the previous record by over 30 seconds to lead first day action at the Raleigh Relays on Friday.
The 4 x 1500 relay team and Justin Ruppe’s 27th place finish in the 5000 meter run were UNCG’s two Top 30 finishes on the afternoon. Ruppe paced the UNCG contingent in the 5000 meters with a time of 17:14.30 while teammate Ryan Solomon took 33 rd place with a time of 18:04.99.
The Spartans also had two runners in the 400 meter dash and was led by Terry Wyatt’s 86th place finish with a time of 51:35 while freshman Taylor Hurst rounded out UNCG’s finishers with a time of 52:29.
UNCG will continue action at the Raleigh Relay’s on Saturday.
