UNCG wraps up day one at the Niswonger Invitational
JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – The Spartans had just four athletes compete on Friday as UNCG concluded the first day of the 33rd Annual Niswonger Invitational in the ETSU/MSHA Athletic Center.
UNCG only competed in the 200 meters on the men's and women's side, but will be running in the 800 meters, mile, 3,000 meters and 5,000 meters on Saturday.
Jelani Bonner was the top runner on the men's side as he finished the 200 meters in a time of 24.99. Bill Kane also ran in the event and finished in 27.08.
On the women's team, Emily Morris ran a time of 29.06 in the 200, while Morgan Mitchell wasn't far behind in a time of 29.15.
The Spartans will continue their stay at the Niswonger Invitational on Saturday beginning at 8 a.m., while Ashley Schnell will be competing at the Meyo Invitational in South Bend, Ind. as she runs in the 3,000 meters at 4:20 p.m.
