2010-11: XC: Did not compete during the cross country season. Indoor: Ran a 5:49.61 in the mile at the Tiger Paw Invitational for a personal-best … set a personal-best in the 3,000 meters at the Liberty Open after running an 11:57.96. Outdoor: Ran a 5:18.88 in the 1,500 meters at the Wake Forest Open for a personal-best in the event … also ran a 5:22.68 in the 1,500 meters at the Raleigh Relays … set a personal-best in the 800 meters after running a 2:34.17 at the Duke Invitational … competed in the 1,500 meters at the UNCW Seahawk Invitational and ran a 5:25.52. 

2009-10: Redshirted the season.

2008-09: XC: Competed in just two meets for the Spartans … ran a season-best 24:42.9 at the Hagan Stone Classic … completed the 5k at the Blue Ridge Open in 24:43. Indoor: Redshirted the season. Outdoor: Ran in the 400 meters three time for UNCG … ran a season-best time of 1:06.97 at the UNC Invitational … clocked a 1:07.25 in the 400 meters at the Duke Invitational … also ran a 1:08.03 at the Raleigh Relays. 

High School: Four-time letterwinner at Rockingham County High School under coaches Ryan and Sarah Harden … member of the 4x400-meter relay team that set a school record … qualified for the state meet in the 800 meters and the 4x800-meter relay … garnered all-conference honors … also played volleyball and was on the swimming team … earned three letters and was an all-conference selection in volleyball … qualified for regionals in swimming.

Personal: Danielle Brook Merriman … born December 30, 1989 in Greensboro, N.C. … daughter of Chris and Tammy Merriman … has a brother named Brad … dad, Chris, was a member of the football and track teams at Marshall University … majoring in education at UNCG.
