Volleyball's Lori Collins named a District III Academic All-American

GREENSBORO, NC – Lori Collins of the UNC Greensboro women’s volleyball team has been selected to the ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-District second team.

Collins, a senior from Keeling, VA, has a 3.97 grade point average and will graduate this spring with a degree in history and a minor in Political Science. In addition, last season she was named to the Southern Conference Academic All-Conference team.

On the court, Collins has compiled 116 kills (1.51 per game) and 93 digs (1.21 per game) in 25 matches this season. She was named to the Eastern Kentucky All-Tournament team back in September.

To qualify for Academic All-America status, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically and have a 3.2 grade point average.
