Schnell named SoCon Women’s Runner of the Week
GREENSBORO, N.C. – UNCG's Ashley Schnell has been honored as the women's Southern Conference Runner of the Week for her performance during the weekend of Oct. 15-16, the league office announced today.
It marked the second time in the past three weeks that Schnell has earned this distinction.
The junior from Lincoln, Neb., was the third collegiate finisher at the Royal Cross Country Challenge over the weekend in Charlotte, N.C. Her time of 17:48 on the 5K course helped the Spartans to a second place overall finish behind Florida State.
Schnell is a music performance major with a 4.0 GPA.
UNCG has the week off before the Southern Conference Championships in Boone, N.C., Oct. 30.
