Quotable
Connor on what worked for him during the first round.
"I trusted my process. I wasn't trying to hit anything close. I wasn't trying to make putts. I wasn't really trying to hit fairways. I was just trusting that my set-ups were good and the techniques I've been working on for the past two weeks were good. I set up every shot and just told myself to make a good swing and the ball goes where it goes. It went in the right spots today."

Connor on being in second place after the first round.
"It's more fun to be in the lead and to know that you've already set that precedent. I think we're in a good spot. I like where we are. I enjoy being in the hunt for it."

Up Next
  • The Spartans tee off on the first hole at 8:55 a.m. on Saturday to start the second round.
