GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNCG women's basketball team (5-6) heads to North Carolina Central Sunday, December 18, to face the Eagles in one of the final non-conference games of the season. Tip-off is slated for 6 p.m. The Blue & Gold looks to snap a two-game losing streak after falling on the road at VCU and at home to Presbyterian last Thursday.

Nadine Soliman is the Spartans leading scorer this season with 17.2 points per game, the most for any freshman in the nation. Fellow rookie Te'ja Twitty is leading the Blue & Gold with 7.4 rebounds per game and is second in scoring with 9.9 ppg. Twitty is coming off a career-high 16-board performance in last Thursday's loss to Presbyterian and Soliman had her sixth 20-point performance of the season against the Blue Hose.

North Carolina Central is on a five-game slide most recently losing 83-53 to NC State Wednesday night. The Eagles' only win this season has been at home in McDougald-McLendon Arena. Jada Blow and Morgan Jones are sharing the Eagles' lead for points per game, both averaging nine while Blow also lead NC Central with 2.7 assists and 1.6 steals per game.

Last season the two met on New Year's Eve in Greensboro where the Spartans defeated NCCU 103-56 and set a program record for shooting percentage in a game (.615). The Spartans also recorded the second-largest margin of victory in the program's Division I Era during the win.

Sunday marks the seventh meeting between the two squads with UNCG winning all six previous matchups.
